Work Streams
Two parallel tracks to deliver the battery storage pilot
Key Terms You'll See Below

Metering & Accreditation
COP11 Asset Meter Setup
Timeline
- Month 1Meter installed and data flowing
- Month 2COP11 accreditation complete
- Month 3Ongoing data validation
Why Does Metering Matter?
To get paid for flexibility services, you need proof of what energy was delivered. The UK electricity market requires meters to be accredited to industry standards (COP11) and registered with Elexon before any market payments can flow. This workstream sets up the "evidence chain" that proves your battery delivered what was promised.
How Meter Data Flows to Market
Accurate, accredited meter data is the foundation of all market revenue
| Simtricity | Acme Manufacturing |
|---|---|
| Specify meter requirements and installation location | Install COP11-compliant meter at battery location |
| Load meter data into Simtricity Flows | Provide site access for meter installation |
| Accredit meter for COP11 with Elexon | Secure Export MPAN for battery system |
Dispatch Integration
Battery Control & Trading
Timeline
- Month 1BMS integration development
- Month 2Axle integration live, first dispatch events
- Month 3Full operation, revenue validation
What is "Dispatch"?
Dispatch is when Axle Energy sends a signal telling your battery to do something — charge, discharge, or hold. These signals are based on wholesale electricity prices: when power is expensive, you discharge and earn money; when it's cheap, you charge. The Flux controller translates these market signals into actual commands for your battery system.
The Dispatch Cycle
| Simtricity | Acme Manufacturing |
|---|---|
| Integrate battery BMS with Flux controller | Provide API/Modbus access to BMS |
| Connect to Axle trading platform | Ensure battery is operational and available |
| Commission and test dispatch responses | Monitor initial dispatch events |
| Pay 100% of Axle flex revenues during pilot | Review revenue reports |
